Look back at everything you found

You've done real work. Over four stages you met an AI, tested it on your own nation, learned where its answers come from, and caught it making errors, stereotypes, and made-up details, with sources to prove it.

Reread your Field Notes from Stages 1 through 4 before you write your final reflection. The evidence is all there.

STEP 2

Two ways of knowing

Here's the big question this whole unit was building toward. Think about how knowledge reaches you in your family and community, by listening, by watching, by being trusted with it, by remembering, over generations.

Now compare that to how the AI "learns": by scanning a huge pile of internet text and copying its patterns, with no elder, no source it can name, and no responsibility for getting it right.

Community knowledge carries meaning, responsibility, and a source you can name. Machine learning carries patterns. Knowing the difference is the most important thing you'll take from this unit.
